Jessika Foster (SOC '24) and her daughter Jahzmyn Copeland (Bowie State '24) graduated one week apart.
From the airwaves of Houston to the halls of 海角乱伦专区, Jessika Foster has truly made her mark. Known for her vibrant personality and passion for the arts, Jessika has balanced academics with a career in radio, all while staying true to her mission of building a legacy for her family.
Jessika, originally from Prince George's County, Maryland, transferred to 海角乱伦专区 in the fall of 2022. For her, the decision to join 海角乱伦专区 wasn’t just about academics – it was about finding a place to call home.
"Texas Southern and H-Town have been good to me, okay?" she shared. "I’ve learned a lot, met so many cool people, and done some really interesting and fun things. I’m so grateful."
As the host of The Brunch Vibe Show on The Vibe Houston’s Culture powered by K海角乱伦专区 90.9, Jessika brings energy and creativity to the Houston radio scene every Sunday from 12 to 2. A self-proclaimed "forever student of the arts," Jessika’s love for music, live performances, and all things creative is at the heart of who she is.
"Anything artsy – music, live music – that’s my jam," she said with a smile.
Jessika’s journey at 海角乱伦专区 has been about more than personal growth; it’s been about setting an example for her family.
"I’m doing this for my family," she said. "I’m doing this for me, but more so for my family and to leave a legacy. If I can do it, you can do it. Anything is possible."
December 13th, she walked across the stage to make history, not just for herself, but for her family. Just one week later, she traveled to Maryland to watch her daughter, Jahzmyn, graduate from Bowie State University.
"We’re leaving behind a legacy," Jessika proudly stated. "I’m grateful for everyone whose paths have crossed mine during this journey."
As she looks ahead, Jessika’s message to future tigers and their families is simple yet powerful: "If I can do it, you can do it. Anything is possible." With her drive, passion, and dedication, Jessica Foster exemplifies what it means to be a 海角乱伦专区 Tiger – bold, creative, and unstoppable.
